Dr. LeMaitre is the founder of LeMaitre Vascular and sits on the company’s Board of Directors. He is named inventor on several patents and serves as medical consultant and advisor for the company in evaluating new products conducting clinical studies and serving as a liaison with physicians. He also performs clinical training for sales representatives and other staff.
Dr. LeMaitre retired from practicing general and vascular surgery in 1997. He is a clinical instructor in surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine where he received his medical degree. He trained in surgery at New England Medical Center Hartford Hospital and the Carney Hospital. He served as Chief of Surgery at Lawrence (MA) General Hospital and President of the medical staff of Holy Family Hospital in Methuen Massachusetts.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons American College of Angiology New England Vascular Society Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery and Eastern Vascular Society among others. He has published numerous medical articles authored three books and is a frequent lecturer on both medical and non-medical topics. |
