George C. Roeth was named vice president - general manager, Specialty Division, in March 2007. In this role, he has profit and loss responsibility for the following businesses: Auto Care, Kingsford® charcoal, Food products and Brita® water-filtration products.
In 2004, Roeth was named vice president - general manager, Litter, Food & Charcoal. In 2002 and 2003, served as vice president - Growth and Strategy. He was charged with initiating and developing new growth opportunities for the company and played a key leadership role in developing and implementing corporate strategies. In 2003, Roeth assumed additional responsibility for the Marketing function and his titled changed to vice president - Growth and Marketing.
In 2000, Roeth was named vice president - Marketing. In that position, he was responsible for worldwide Marketing functions, including brand management, personnel staffing and development, consumer intelligence, advertising agency management, consumer promotion, media planning and buying, commercial production and packaging graphics.
Roeth joined Clorox in 1987 as a brand assistant in the Marketing organization. He subsequently held Marketing positions of increasing responsibility, including group marketing manager - Home Care, director - Marketing, Brita® products and vice president - Brand Marketing.
Roeth serves on the board of directors of the East Oakland Youth Development Foundation.
A native of the Bay Area, Roeth holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master's degree in business administration from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. |
