He also structures partnership, joint venture, and syndication vehicles for real estate, natural resource and alternative energy activities.
In addition, George structures investment vehicles and real estate acquisitions for tax-exempt entities including pension trusts. He represents tax-exempt organizations, including on issues such as qualification and unrelated business taxation. His practice also emphasizes general corporate, partnership, real estate and natural resources taxation.

George joined Mayer Brown in 1973 after serving for four years in Washington, DC, with the Office of Chief Counsel, Internal Revenue Service, Legislation and Regulations Division. He is a Registered Certified Public Accountant in Illinois (1966).
