Geoff Hurwitz joined Rohm and Haas in 1981 as manager of U.S. state government relations after service in the Peace Corps in Thailand. In 1990 he became director of U.S. federal and state government relations and then director of Government Relations two years later.
Since then Mr. Hurwitz has overseen the development of strategic government relations and lobbying efforts in other areas of the world first in Europe and most recently in China. Today he directs corporate lobbying and government relations activities globally including issues management relationships with elected officials and serves as the primary company representative for interactions with key industry associations including the American Chemistry Council.
Mr. Hurwitz holds a B.A. degree in History and Political Science from Pennsylvania State University and a M.A. degree in International Affairs from American University. He is a board member of the Public Affairs Council and is a member of the Business-Government Relations Council.
He and his wife are residents of Falls Church Virginia. |
