With over 30 years of experience with mainframe systems, including extensive writing and lecturing, Geoff Littlewood shares his technical expertise clearly and directly. Geoff joined IBM (UK) Ltd. in 1970 and worked there for 32 years, as a Customer Account Systems Engineer, as a Lecturer at IBM's Education Centre in the UK (teaching MVS, Assembler, VSAM, and IMS courses), as a Country Specialist in Storage Products at the UK Field Systems Centre (covering VSAM, SMS, disks, and tapes for large systems), and as the European Early Support Programmes Manager for IBM's High End Storage products, including the Shark (Enterprise Storage Server®) and IBM's SAN and NAS products. During his time at IBM, he developed educational material for the rollout of the IBM 3380, 3375, and the supporting storage product programs. Before retiring from IBM in March 2002, Geoff co-authored five IBM Redbooks® publications covering IBM's tape automation products and several releases of DFSMS. Now, as a Mainstar Technical Sales Engineer, Geoff assists Mainstar's customers throughout Europe. He enjoys helping customers solve their storage management problems. Geoff plays tennis, squash, and the piano. He is married with three children and one granddaughter. |
