Gene Ochi was promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer in March 2007. He also is a member of UTi Worldwide’s Management Board, along with Roger MacFarlane, Tiger Wessels, Lawrence Samuels and John Hextall. Gene is a member of our founding shareholder management team and has served in various roles of increasing responsibilities. In March 2006, he was promoted to Executive Vice President, Global Leader of Client Solutions Development and led our company’s focus on developing solutions for our global and strategic clients. Gene has been instrumental in the development and branding of our long-term vision of becoming a leading provider of truly global integrated logistics services. Previously, he served as Regional Vice President, Western U.S.A., of Union-Transport Corporation, one of our subsidiaries. Prior to joining UTi, Gene was Senior Vice President of Marketing at American supply chain management and transportation solutions company BAX Global, which was acquired by Deutsche Bahn AG in 2006. He also served in various executive capacities for Flying Tigers, a cargo airline, and as the Vice President of Marketing for WTC Air Freight. Gene received his BS from the University of Utah and his MBA from the University of Southern California. |
