Gene started working on drilling rigs in 1975. His first job was in the Rocky Mountains where he worked every position on the rig for several years. Having worked himself up to driller, he gained valuable rig experience and knowledge drilling in the hard rock country until 1982. He then moved out to California where he took a job drilling in Northern California for Geothermal companies. From 1985 through 1996, Gene pushed tools for various drilling contractors. Gene has extensive experience pushing tools on deep well drilling and completion projects. He has drilled and completed 16,000 foot high pressure gas wells in Wyoming and 15,000 foot oil wells in the Overthrust Belt near Evanston. At that time, Gene began a consulting business and continued to work in the drilling industry as a company representative for several years. Kenai hired Gene in 1996 to work as our Rig Superintendent, responsible for all day to day operations of our company's rigs. Gene's 32 years of rig experience have made him a valuable member of Kenai's professional drilling team. |
