Gene Deetz is a Principal in Chicago Partners’ New York office. He specializes in accounting standards guidance, forensic accounting, valuation, securities litigation, claims and dispute matters, and expert witness testimony for clients and counsel in commercial, regulatory and tax controversy matters. Mr. Deetz has provided accounting, valuation, business, economic and financial analyses on behalf of clients involved in a variety of disputes. Mr. Deetz regularly consults on GAAP and GAAS matters such as financial reporting before the Securities and Exchange Commission, valuation of business interests and intangible assets, securities litigation, contract claims, fraud and breach of fiduciary duty, minority shareholder actions, and federal tax controversies. Prior to joining Chicago Partners, Mr. Deetz was a director with LECG, LLC. He has also held the position of managing director of strategic valuation services with Arthur Andersen, and the partner in charge of valuation and litigation support services with Noell Deetz Agnew & Morse, and with Stoughton Davidson. |
