Gottfried is President & CEO - Mid Ohio Region. He assumed this position in Janu-ary of 2004. Gene came to us from Unisys Corporation in Cleveland where he was Marketing Manager. He joined Peoples National Bank - Wooster Ohio in 1978 as Vice President/Controller. In 1992 he became Vice President/Controller of First Na-tional Bank of Ohio, in 1995 Vice President/Corporate Banking Controller, and in 1998 was named Senior Vice President/Commercial Banking Manager.
Gene has a B.S. Degree from Ashland University. He has attended Ohio State Uni-versity Financial Management for S&L Executives, Ohio University - Ohio Savings and Loan Academy, Cohen Brown ESL and ENBT Sales Training, and is a Certified Instructor of OMEGA Lending to Small Business Course.
His civic and professional activities include the Ohio Society of Certified Public Ac-countants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Wayne Economic De-velopment Council Board, Main Street Wooster Board & Treasurer, Boys Village Board, Wayne Center for the Arts Board, Wooster Unity Project Board, Wayne County Children Services Advisory Board, Kiwanis International, and Junior Achievement of Akron and Wooster. |
