Gene Berman is a senior vice president and managing director, and he serves as regional manager of the firm's Fort Lauderdale, Fla., office. Over the past several years, Mr. Berman has led the Fort Lauderdale office to a dominant position in the South Florida investment brokerage market and a ranking as one of the firm’s top producing offices. In 2001, he was recognized as the firm's Regional Manager of the Year, an honor based on superior commitment, support and results. He has been involved in the agent training program and has served as an adviser to many managers. Mr. Berman began his career with Marcus & Millichap in 1982 as an agent in the Encino, Calif., office. He received numerous sales achievement awards and was named senior investment associate in 1987. Mr. Berman then led the opening of the Fort Lauderdale office as regional manager in 1996. He was named a vice president in 1997 and a first vice president in 2001. His promotion to senior vice president took place in 2002, and he was elected a managing director in 2005. Mr. Berman received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern California. |
