Geaton DeCesaris is the President of the Hovnanian Land Investment Group of Hovnanian Enterprises, Inc. He is responsible for large-scale land development opportunities across the country. DeCesaris joined the Company in 2001, when it merged with Washington Homes, of Landover. DeCesaris was the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Washington Homes, Inc.
DeCesaris began his career in 1973, as part of Sonny DeCesaris and Sons Builders Inc, with his father and brother. Sixteen years later, the company was able to acquire Washington Homes, Inc. which became listed on the New York Stock Exchange in December of 1993. In 1994, DeCesaris led Washington Homes in the acquisition of the North Carolina division of Westminster Homes. DeCesaris is a member of the President's Council as well as the foundation board of Anne Arundel Medical Center. He is also involved with numerous charitable and civic organizations. In 1994, DeCesaris was named Entrepreneur of the Year in real estate by Inc. Magazine. |
