Gaylen Hansen is a principal in the audit service area of EKS&H, where he serves as Director of Accounting and Auditing Quality Assurance. He also directs the firm's risk management practice relative to internal audit and controls over financial reporting. Gaylen’s experience spans over 30 years and includes an emphasis on SEC accounting and reporting. He is responsible for formulating the firm’s accounting and audit technical policy standards, including regulatory liaison, inspections and peer review, ethics and independence. Gaylen majored in accounting and graduated cum laude from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and later received an MBA in international business from California State University, Fullerton. He is a member of the Colorado State Board of Accountancy, the Board of Directors of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant’s Professional Ethics Executive Committee and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board’s Standing Advisory Group. Most recently Gaylen was appointed to the U.S. Treasury’s Advisory Committee on the Auditing Profession. |
