Gayle K. Turk is a Managing Director of the firm’s corporate Advisory business.
Prior to joining Evercore, Ms. Turk was Vice President of Strategy and Analysis for The Wall Street Journal where she directed finance, pricing, and strategic planning for the advertising sales department of the newspaper. Before joining The Journal, Ms. Turk was an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company, Inc. in New York. There she worked primarily in the Firm's consumer practice with a focus on strategy, marketing and operations for media and retail companies.
In recent transactions at Evercore, Ms. Turk advised Cendant on its $17 billion split-up, including the $4.3 billion sale of Travelport to Blackstone. Ms. Turk also advised IntercontinentalExchange on its $1.1 billion acquisition of New York Board of Trade, and the Board of General Motors on its $7.9 billion sale of a 51% interest in GMAC.
Ms. Turk serves as Co-Chairman of the Board of Directors of America Abroad Media. She received a B.A. magna cum laude from Harvard University, and an M.B.A. with honors from Harvard Business School. |
