Gary Wolfson is the partner in charge of the Executive Search practice for Blackman Kallick. Gary serves on the firm’s strategic planning and marketing committees and is a marketing mentor to the firm’s professional staff. He brings to Blackman Kallick more than 25 years experience in executive search and human resources consulting, including eight years as president and founder of a successful Chicago-based search and consulting firm. Gary is noted for his hands-on creative experience in both senior management and law firm partner recruitment, as well as his varied experiences consulting to senior management on human resource issues. His specialties also include organizational development, structuring and assessment, and outplacement. Gary's clients, past and present, include a wide range of nationally prominent law firms and companies, many with a strong Chicago presence, such as Rockwell International, Steelcase, Northern Trust, APCOA/Standard Parking, Baxter Healthcare, Amoco Corporation, and Helene Curtis. He also has consulted and recruited for scores of mid-sized Chicago-based companies and law firms as well as entrepreneurial growth firms in many industries and disciplines, such as manufacturing, food service and real estate. Published in The Chicago Tribune, Boardroom Reports and other various human resources publications, Gary is a frequent lecturer at both seminars and conferences and has served as guest speaker at INC. magazine conferences nationally. He has served on fundraising boards of three major Chicago area hospitals and currently serves on the Executive Board of the Medical Research Institute Council Board of Children's Memorial Hospital. A graduate of Denver University Business School, Gary began his management career in the retail industry with the May Company in Denver, Colorado. He then joined an international export/import company in Chicago in sales and marketing management for several years prior to entering the executive search profession. |
