Gary Mathias specializes in M&A advisory, raising capital, and providing strategic advisory services. Mr. Mathias brings 20+ years of experience as an entrepreneur, investment banker, and private equity investor across diverse industries. Gary’s operating experience enables him to appreciate and address the needs of entrepreneurs. He was previously the co-founder and president of a software company that was sold to a public company, as well as the chief operating officer of a health care company. In addition to his operating experience, Gary has extensive experience in M&A and financing transactions. Before joining CM&M, he was a senior vice president in GE Capital' venture capital division, partner of an Atlanta-based investment banking firm, and executive vice president of Premier Healthcare, a private equity firm that acquired and developed a portfolio of healthcare services and information technology companies. Gary is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, and currently serves on the board of the Stamford Chapter of the Connecticut Venture Group and the Advisory Board of the Software and Information Technology Cluster of the Connecticut Technology Council. He has been a judge for the Crossroads Venture Fair since 2000, and has been a board director for Diabetes Support Systems, DJJ Technologies, and Dome Imaging Systems. Gary is a travel coach and board member for Ridgefield Youth Lacrosse and is actively involved as a sports photographer for youth sports in Ridgefield, Connecticut. Gary earned a BA in economics from Harvard College, an MBA from Yale University, and a Fulbright Fellowship for post-graduate studies in economics. |
