Gary Lowrey has 30 years sales and marketing experience within software and technology businesses having held senior management positions with major companies, globally and in the UK.
Gary formed InitioStar www.initiostar.co.uk in December 2001 to provide board-level interim sales and marketing services with a focus on software, outsourcing and financial services. Clients have included: CQ Systems (leasing software), Cybersafe (security software), a brand name UK Outsourcer (financial services) and Cedar Software (accountancy software). He has led two start-ups: Cyber3D, a 3D web development business set up in partnership with Adobe achieved a profitable exit in July 2005 and TSM Direct, which continues to provide telesales and marketing software solutions for clients such as Barclays Bank and EDF Energy.
Prior to InitioStar, Gary was the Group Sales and Marketing Director for Rebus Insurance Systems (now Xchanging) where he led the company’s re-branding, bringing a clear focus to the business’s core strengths in London Market and the Commercial Insurance sectors, delivering a 22% year-on-year increase in new business sales.
During the 90s he was Regional Sales Director UK, CIS & MEA for Misys (a major retail banking and capital markets software business) where he personally doubled sales and profitability for the South Asian business.
Gary’s earlier career included UK and International sales and marketing roles with Oracle, Fujitsu and Wang, having started his career with Coopers & Lybrand (PwC). Gary is a graduate from the University of London (BSc Mathematics and Computer Science), is a keen golfer, enjoys skiing and sailing and lives in Barnes, south west London.
