Gary Lazzarotto is currently CEO of Asia for Hudson and is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the region.
Mr. Lazzarotto's career highlights include over 16 years in the international Human Resources arena. He joined Drake International in 1988 and held the position of State Manager South Australia and was on the Australian Management Board. In 1993 he joined Morgan & Banks, which was subsequently acquired by TMP Worldwide in 1999.
During his 12 years with Morgan & Banks/Hudson, Mr. Lazzarotto has built a number of successful teams and businesses in Australia and Asia. His specific experience includes executive search, mid-market recruitment, training and management consulting across a broad range of industries with a focus on the Sales and Marketing, Industrial, Energy and Sports sectors.
In 2000 Mr. Lazzarotto moved to Singapore as Director for South East Asia, with responsibility for Singapore, Malaysia, India and Thailand. In this role, he was called on by clients to help position them as employers of choice internally and externally and to recruit and develop their talent at all levels. Under Mr. Lazzarotto's leadership, the company was honoured as one of the "Top 10 Best Employers" in Singapore, an accolade awarded by Hewitt and the Asian Wall Street Journal. The other nine companies were Hudson clients.
Since 2002, Mr. Lazzarotto's current position as CEO, based in Hong Kong requires him to oversee both the recruitment and Human Capital Solutions divisions. His current priorities include growing Hudson's businesses across the region and ensuring quality service to customers through new technologies as well as traditional recruitment methodologies.
In the last four years Hudson’s Asian business has witnessed significant growth and Hudson has become the largest executive recruitment firm in Asia, with offices in Hong Kong, China, Japan and Singapore. Hudson is the only recruitment firm in Asia with the ISO 9001 certification.
Mr. Lazzarotto has been a regular contributor on a wide range of international and local media including CNBC, CNN, Bloomberg and the BBC as well as the Asian Wall Street Journal, Financial Times and the Dow Jones and Reuters newswires. |
