Gary was appointed executive vice president for strategic planning and business development with a focus on organic growth and mergers and acquisitions in 2007.
Gary joined Steel Dynamics in January 2005 as vice president of finance and chief financial officer. He has a broad background in finance and accounting with experience in equity and debt capital markets, project finance, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, project finance, valuation, and auditing.
Prior to joining SDI, Gary was senior vice president and manager of the metals group of KeyBanc Capital Markets, the investment-banking and corporate-finance unit of Key Bank.
Gary served as chief financial officer and director of a steel producer in Asia from 1998 through 2001. He previously worked for Ernst & Young in Assurance and Advisory Business Services and the firm’s national mergers and acquisitions groups. While at Ernst & Young, Gary served clients in a broad range of industries, including steel, financial services, telecommunications, plastics, and manufacturing.
Gary earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Youngstown State University and is a certified public accountant. |
