Gary Effren joined Akeena Solar as Chief Financial Officer in September, 2007. Prior to his current role with Akeena, from 1980 to 2006, he held various executive financial positions including vice president of finance and chief financial officer at Knight Ridder, Inc. a Fortune 500 media company and the second largest newspaper company in the United States.
Gary has been a member of the Board of Directors of United Way Silicon Valley since 2001, is a member of its Executive Committee and is Chairman of the Audit Committee.He is a CPA and received his MBA from the University of Miami as well as a B.S. in Commerce from Rider College. |
