Gary T. DiCamillo was elected a director of Whirlpool Corporation in April 1997. He is a member of the audit committee and chairman of the corporate governance committee of the board of directors.
As of July 1, 2002, DiCamillo became president and chief executive officer of GW Premier America, Inc. GW Premier America, Inc. provides highly trained temporary and contract professionals specializing in engineering, technical and office support. He is the former chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Polaroid Corporation. He remains a member of the Polaroid board of directors. Prior to joining Polaroid in October 1995, he served as group vice president of the Black & Decker Corporation and president of Worldwide Power Tools and Accessories. He joined Black and Decker in 1986 as vice president of marketing for its U.S. Power Tools Division and in 1988 was named president of the division. In 1993 he was given the additional responsibility of the Worldwide Power Tool and Accessories businesses.
DiCamillo formerly worked at Beatrice Corporation from 1983 to 1986 where he was vice president and general manager of Culligan U.S.A. From 1980 to 1983, DiCamillo was manager in McKinsey & Company's Chicago office and joined Procter & Gamble Company directly from graduate school in 1975.
DiCamillo received his Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1973 and his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1975.
DiCamillo is also a board member of the Pella Corporation, The Sheridan Group, and 3Com Corporation.
DiCamillo and his wife Susan have three sons. |
