Gary Quantock leads DTE Energy Services' asset management team which is responsible for managing more than $1 billion of energy assets and investments. These projects include two pulverized coal injection facilities, three coke oven batteries, a chilled water plant, peaking power facilities and synthetic fuel plants. He has more than 20 years of experience in the energy industry, previously having managed coal and natural gas fired cogeneration facilities and developing and operating projects recovering methane from sanitary landfills.
As asset manager, Mr. Quantock is responsible for the financial performance of DTEES' portfolio of energy related projects. He directs a team of professionals in managing day to day operational and commercial activities. Responsibilities include financial and operational reporting, budgeting and forecasting, long term planning, coordination with lending institutions and negotiation of project contracts. He works closely with all levels of customer organizations in order to form the strong relationships necessary to ensure mutually successful performance. He also contributes in the development of new projects and in the analysis of potential acquisitions.
He is a graduate of Harvard University earning a bachelor's degree in geological science. Mr. Quantock has also received a master's degree in business administration from Rutgers University. |
