Gary G. Fybel joined the Scripps Health system in August 2000 as the chief executive of Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. With more than 30 years experience in health care, Fybel is responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of the 422-bed facility.
Prior to joining Scripps, Fybel served as administrator and chief operating officer of Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center and as interim president and chief executive officer of Saint Joseph Health System, Humboldt County. Fybel has also held positions at Placentia-Linda Community Hospital and Anaheim General Hospital where he served as chief executive officer.
Fybel received his Masters in business administration from California State University, Long Beach. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in management/health services administration and is a member of the American College of Health Care Executives. |
