Gary A. Bleiberg is a Principal of Finance and is focused on high yield opportunities. He is responsible for internal accounting controls and financial reporting requirements for the U.S. Leveraged Finance Group. He is based in New York.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Bleiberg was with the New York office of PricewaterhouseCoopers, L.L.P., where he served as a Senior Manager in the Investment Management Industry Services Group. Mr. Bleiberg started his career with Arthur Andersen L.L.P. Mr. Bleiberg has been actively involved in serving investment company clients with a wide range of investment objectives, strategies and structures. He has supervised the audits of domestic and offshore investment companies, including multiple share class funds, master-feeder funds, investment partnerships, closed-end single country funds and commodity pools. He regularly assisted clients in addressing complex accounting and regulatory issues facing investment companies and their Advisors. Further, he was often involved with assisting clients in new product development, helping to identify and resolve potential issues from an accounting, compliance and operations perspective. Mr. Bleiberg also performed numerous attestations of performance returns in accordance with Association for Investment Management and Research ("AIMR") Performance Presentation Standards.
Mr. Bleiberg graduated from Queens College summa cum laude with a B.A. degree in accounting and information systems and a minor in economics, and is a CPA. |
