Gail Fujimoto has been the lead librarian at Kamehameha Schools Kapalama Campus (KSKC) for nineteen years. Since 2001, she has also served as the KSKC Midkiff Learning Center coordinator and oversees the high schools' video production, student production and Ka Na'i Aupuni yearbook programs.
Ms. Fujimoto is currently a member of the Na Kumu leadership team. She established and advised the Kamehameha chapter of the Future Educators of America and serves as the coordinator of the annual Summer Ethics Institute for students and faculty.
Beyond Kamehameha Schools, she currently serves as the chairperson for the Advisory Board for the Graduate School of Library and Information Studies and previously served as the president of the Hawai'i Association of School Librarians. Ms. Fujimoto also served as the principal developer and grant writer for the Native Hawaiian Library Program (currently administered by Alu Like) which focuses on literacy and reaching out to Hawaiians.
She is married to Allan Fujimoto and they have two grown daughters, Lani and Jill. |
