Dr. Niederauer has more than 20 years of experience in the study, development and commercialization of biomaterials for orthopedic, dental and ENT tissue repair. She also serves as Vice President of Research and Development at C2M Medical. From 1995 to 2006, Dr. Niederauer was with OsteoBiologics, Inc., where she served as Director of Research and Development from 1999 until 2006 and she was instrumental in launching 12 new product lines. Her responsibilities included coordinating experimental, preclinical, and clinical studies; planning and submitting regulatory filings; managing OBI's intellectual property portfolio; and assisting with new business expansion. Dr. Niederauer completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the Orthopaedic Biomechanics Laboratory at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio; a Doctor of Philosophy and Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Iowa State University; and a Bachelor of Science degree in Ceramic Engineering from Clemson University. Dr. Niederauer is widely published and she is a co-inventor of nine patents and seven applications for devices and methods used in surgical procedures and tissue engineering. |
