Gabriel Lowy joined Unterberg in October, 2006 with 20 years experience in various parts of the investment industry, including 13 years as an equity analyst. Most recently, Gabe was Managing Director and founder of Lowy Research, an independent market research, analysis and strategic advisory firm with emphasis on the technology sector.
Previously, he was Director of Technology Research at Blaylock & Partners, where he was the top-ranked analyst (#1 forbes.com) for earnings forecasting accuracy. From 2000-2003, Gabe was Co-head of Technology Research at Credit Lyonnais, where he was highly ranked (#2 The Wall Street Journal) for analysis and forecasts in the networking sector and helped the European team achieve its first ever top five ranking.
Previously, Gabe held Vice President of Business development positions with AIS Advisors, a hedge fund research and advisory firm, and Salomon Smith Barney Asset Management for Europe. He was also Head of Consumer Products Research at Oppenheimer & Co. from 1993-1995 and a consumer products analyst at Bear, Stearns & Co. from 1989-1992. Gabe began his Wall Street career in 1986 as an institutional equity salesman with Drexel, Burnham, Lambert, Inc.
Gabe holds an MBA in Strategic Planning form New York University’s Stern Graduate School of Business and a B.S. in Marketing, also from NYU. |
