Fuller O'Connor, Jr. joined FBR as a Managing Director in the Real Estate Investment Banking Group in January 2003. In 2005, he became Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of Real Estate Investment Banking. Over that time period, he has lead numerous transactions for FBR including the initial public offerings for JER Investors Trust, Medical Properties Trust, Feldman Mall Properties, NorthStar Realty Finance, Government Properties Trust and Capital Lease Funding, as well as 144A private offerings for Medical Properties Trust and JER Investors Trust.
For over 20 years, Mr. O'Connor has specialized in the real estate investment banking industry. Most recently, Mr. O'Connor was Managing Director at Cohen & Steers Capital Advisors, the investment banking affiliate of Cohen & Steers Capital Management. Previously, Mr. O'Connor was Managing Director at Prudential Securities Incorporated in the Real Estate Investment Banking Group. In addition, Mr. O'Connor has held senior positions at Chase Manhattan Bank, Chemical Bank and Trammell Crow Ventures. Mr. O'Connor is experienced in both the real estate equity and debt capital markets.
Mr. O'Connor received a B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia in 1982.
