Experience
Frederick T. Baird, Executive Vice President, Chief Corporate Development Officer, and Head of Europe and the Middle East, is a former tenured professor at the University of Canterbury and specializes in the solution of business problems, with particular emphasis on the development of markets, mathematical modeling related to network industry operations and competitive markets, and general areas within the fields of economics and operations research. Mr. Baird served as project director for the design and development of the Singapore electricity market. Prior to that he was a senior vice president at PHB Hagler Bailly and a managing director at Putnam, Hayes, & Bartlett.
Throughout his consulting career, Mr. Baird has managed and directed projects for the New Zealand and Australian electricity markets and the Victorian gas market, and he has overseen the design and development of the Ontario, Canada, market; the design of the Malaysian electricity market; and the review of the Singapore electricity and gas markets. He has a number of publications in the areas of mathematical programming. |
