Mr. Fred Finger is Senior Director of Vessel Management at Maersk Line, Limited in Norfolk, VA. He is responsible for the commercial management of all vessels and projects that fall within the Specialized Vessel business unit.Mr. Finger has been with Maersk Line, Limited since December 1984. Prior to joining the company, Fred sailed with the U.S. Military Sealift Command from 1978 until 1984. Previous jobs with Maersk Line, Limited have included Assistant Port Captain, Port Captain, Manager of Vessel Operations, MPS & Commercial Vessel Program Manager, and Director of Commercial Operations.Fred serves on the Board of Directors of the United Seaman’s Service, and is a member of various industry associations, including The Navy League, The National Defense Transportation Association, The Surface Navy Association, and The Association of the U.S. Army.Fred holds a B.S. in Nautical Science from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY and also has a U.S. Coast Guard Master’s License.Fred is married to Susan and together they have 2 children. |
