Mr. Pritzker is the Chair of the Litigation Section at Brown Rudnick. Through this role, he supervises and conducts a general litigation practice with a heavy emphasis on complex commercial cases.
Mr. Pritzker has represented public companies, accounting firms, underwriters and banks in security fraud suits and disputes. In addition, he has represented banks, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers and bonding companies in connection with construction problems, lender liability issues and general business contract and tort conflicts. He has been specially admitted to try cases in 22 states.
Representative Matters
o Lead counsel and successfully defended multiple, multi-state complex securities' fraud claims against a foreign public company with potential liability of approximately $150 million.
o Represented the general contractor to a 1.4 million square foot warehouse and distribution center for a supermarket chain in defending multi-million dollar subcontractor claims and prosecuting claims for extras against the owner.
o Lead counsel and represented a manufacturer of large planetary grinding equipment used in the fabrication of jet airplane landing gear against allegations that the machines were not grinding to the appropriate tolerances and specifications. The case was defended by establishing that maintenance and operational errors resulted in the problems the customer was experiencing.
o Lead counsel in a personal injury case which generated the highest jury verdict in Massachusetts for 2004; previously successfully generated the second highest settlement for a single claimant personal injury client recorded in Massachusetts.
o Acted as litigation co-counsel in a major patent dispute between two public companies which manufacture health care equipment, as well as successfully defending a separate RICO claim based upon alleged fraud against the Patent Office.
