Professional ExperienceFrederick Esposito joined Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein, P.C. as Director of Administration and Finance in March 2007. Reporting directly to the firm’s Managing Attorney and Chairman, Mr. Esposito works closely with the Management Committee on business, financial and policy matters.In 2006, Mr. Esposito earned the professional designation of CLM. The Certified Legal Management (CLM) program is the only certification program in the legal management profession. Through a comprehensive examination process, the voluntary program identifies and tests to determine if a legal administrator has a command of the core areas of knowledge for effective job performance. Mr. Esposito sat and passed the examination on September 14, 2006, and is the only Certified Legal Manager (CLM) on Long Island.Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Esposito was the Executive Director of a Philadelphia law firm. He also has managed and consulted with various law, accounting and health-care firms in New York, with a specialization in financial and organizational management. He has worked closely with law firms on strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, business development and risk management. Mr. Esposito has lectured and written articles on law office management, finance, strategic planning, merger integration and many other management related topics, as well as on the importance of continuing education in the legal management profession. He has been in the legal and public accounting management field for over 20 years.Professional Affiliations Mr. Esposito has played an active role in the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA). A member since 1996, he served as Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice-President of the Hudson Valley Chapter before relocating to Philadelphia in 2000. Mr. Esposito served as editor of the Philadelphia Chapter Newsletter and served on the Philadelphia Chapter Board as Secretary, President-Elect, President and Past-President, and is active in the New York City Chapter CLM educational program. In addition to his local chapter work, Mr. Esposito also has served on the ALA 2006 Regional Nominating Committee for the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, and, at the national level, provided ad hoc editorial and consulting services for the ALA Legal Management Encyclopedia.Mr. Esposito’s other professional affiliations include associate memberships with the Philadelphia Bar Association and the American Bar Association (ABA) Law Practice Management Section. |
