Fred is responsible for Kane Reece’s corporate appraisal standards and quality controls. A specialist in appraisals for tax matters who also heads the company’s efforts to establish tax positions for clients. He oversees client compliance and audit requirements for the Internal Revenue Service and the taxation authorities of most states. He has testified before federal, state, and local officials on appraisal matters, and has served as both an expert witness and a rebuttal witness in litigation related to valuation issues in tax matters. Fred is also an expert in the cost analysis of special purpose facilities, such as communications operations, high-technology manufacturing facilities, research and development centers, computer processing centers, and pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, where individual tangible asset categories must be identified and valued. He is also experienced in the development and support of business enterprise values and the valuation of closely held businesses. |
