Franklyn Prendergast is Director of the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center in Rochester, Minnesota, and Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. His research focus is in structural protein biology and bioimaging. He is a recipient of the E.E. Just award of the American Society of Experimental Biology and the Musgrave Gold Medal of the Institute of Jamaica. He is a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and Sigma Xi. He earned his B.A. and M.A. in physiology as a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University, his Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Minnesota, and his M.D. from the University of the West Indies. Dr. Prendergast is on the Board of Governors of the Mayo Clinic and Foundation, and the Board of Directors of Eli Lilly. |
