Franklin M. Sachs is Of Counsel to the firm in its Litigation Department. He concentrates his practice in complex litigation involving insurance coverage, subrogation, commercial disputes, estates, contract claims, civil fraud, malpractice, environmental, and white-collar criminal defense matters. He has litigated major cases in Arizona, California, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Hawaii, Nevada, Wisconsin, Canada, South America and Europe. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Sachs was the founding and senior partner at another New Jersey law firm. In 1998, Mr. Sachs was named one of the top ten insurance defense attorneys in the country in a nationwide survey. Mr. Sachs is a member of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel, the International Insurance Law Society, the Loss Executives Association, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is also a member of the New Jersey Supreme Court Ethics Committee and the New Jersey Supreme Court Fee Arbitration Panel. Mr. Sachs is a member of the Essex County, New Jersey State and New York State Bar Associations and is also a member of the Tort and Insurance Practice Section of the American Bar Association. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America in the Business Litigation category. Mr. Sachs is a graduate of Hamilton College (1962) and received his law degree from Columbia Law School (1965) where he was the winner of the Harlan Fiske Stone Award.
