Dr. Franklin Babcock consults for Noel-Levitz from his position as dean of student services at the Dale Mabry Campus of Hillsborough Community College (FL). He offers four decades of higher education experience, particularly in counseling and student affairs.
At Hillsborough, Dr. Babcock is responsible for all student services, including enrollment services, counseling, advising, career development, student life, testing and assessment. He is also director of intercollegiate athletics. During his tenure, Dr. Babcock has increased enrollment by 35 percent, developed a student recruitment program, improved customer service, and created a student welcome center, among other accomplishments.
Previously, he served as executive director of student development at Owens Community College (OH). There he enhanced the college’s enrollment services system, leading to an enrollment increase of 17.2 percent. He also oversaw the development of a new advising and testing center, and he created a new college orientation program. Dr. Babcock has also served as the chief student affairs officer at Salem Community College (NJ) and Owens Community College (OH).
Presentations, associations, and education:
Dr. Babcock has frequently presented at regional and national conferences on enrollment development and fostering student success in community colleges. He is a past president of the National Council on Student Development. Dr. Babcock received his Ph.D. in counselor education at Ohio University. |
