Mr. Young began his professional career in 1981 with InterFirst Ventures of Dallas, Texas where he was responsible for early stage technology investments. In 1987, he assumed a similar position with Southeast Venture Capital of Miami, Florida. From 1992 through 1997, he operated Prado Capital Advisors, a private equity oriented investment banking boutique which raised over $50 million in venture capital for its clients during this period. In 1997, Frank joined the ranks of the entrepreneurs as a founding CFO and CTO of Beacon Health Plans, a Hispanic oriented start-up HMO which is now Vista Health Plans. During all of 2000, he served these same two roles in the start-up of Virtual, Inc., a Puerto Rico Based Internet content provider. In 2003, he became CFO of Bioheart, Inc. a Sunrise, Florida based biotech company with a treatment for congestive heart failure in active clinical trials. Mr. Young joined MitralSolutions in 2005. |
