Mr. Dane joined the Company in 1988. Mr. Dane played a key role in the formation of CICC the Company’s joint venture in Nanjing China. More recently he played a leading role in the acquisition of PenOp and was instrumental in consummating CIC’s current license agreements with Palm and Symbol Technologies.
Over the years Mr. Dane has also played a key role in financing the Company’s operations. Such financing included securing government grants for research and development negotiating agreements that resulted in multi-million dollar advanced royalty payments to CIC from companies such as IBM NCR and Seiko Epson leading of private financings including private equity placements and debt restructuring. The Company originally listed its securities on the Vancouver Stock Exchange. Mr. Dane led several public security offerings in that jurisdiction the cross border registration of the Company’s stock into the United States and the Company’s initial public offering in the United States . In 2004 Mr. Dane led a successful effort to raise $4 million to provide working capital to help accelerate the Company’s growth.
Prior to joining the Company Mr. Dane spent over a decade with Price Waterhouse (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers). His final position with that firm was as Senior Manager of the Entrepreneurial Services Division of its Silicon Valley Office in San Jose California .
Mr. Dane is a member of the State Bar of California and has been a certified public accountant in the states of California and Connecticut. |
