Dr. Criado, a nationally-recognized vascular surgeon, is the Chief of Vascular Surgery at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He is a long-time leader at Union Memorial, part of the MedStar Health System, and has held this post for over a decade. For the last five years, he has served as Director of the Center for Vascular Intervention, and also leads the Non-Invasive Vascular Labs and oversees Vascular Research. He was elected to the Fellow American College of Surgeons and the Fellow Society of Vascular Medicine and Biology. He is an active member of the International Society of Endovascular Specialists in which he has served as the Secretary for the past 12 years. Dr. Criado also founded the Latin-American Endovascular Surgical Society and is a founding member of the International Society for Vascular Surgery. Throughout his career, he has been widely published in over 100 journals, abstracts, films, and book chapters, and has received numerous honors and achievements. His research and clinical interests include endovascular therapy, international angiology, endovascular and vascular surgery, and vascular disease management. |
