Frank T. Spencer is the Vice Chairman/Partner in the firm’s New York office. He is also the President of the Retail/Consumer Practice Group. Frank joined DHR International in March of 1997 as Executive Vice President, to lead the firm’s New York expansion. In 1998 he was appointed to the Senior Operating Committee. In 1999 Frank was elected Vice Chairman responsible for the overall operation of the New York market, and in 2001 he was added to the Board of Directors and given a partnership in the company. Prior to joining DHR International, Frank spent 12 years as an executive search consultant with a large New York-based boutique search firm, specializing in retail, direct mail and entertainment. During each of his last three years he was the firm’s top producer. Frank distinguishes himself from the industry by maintaining long-term relationships with his clients. For example, the Walt Disney Corporation has been a client for fifteen years, with the successful completion of over 200 searches. These searches are in the various divisions of Disney including retail stores, direct mail, consumer products, internet, and theme parks. In addition Frank’s extensive experience includes recent searches with The Gap, Pacific Sunwear, Office Depot, Knowledge Learning Corp, PETsMART and ITOCHU. Earlier in his career, Frank spent 11 years with The Gap Stores, where he rose through the ranks in various HR and operational positions. He joined The Gap upon graduating from Hofstra University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. |
