Frank Gatto was named interim Chief Executive Officer for Idearc in February 2008. He was previously executive vice president responsible for Idearc's operations functions including billing and collections; customer care; information technology for print products; Headquarters marketing and strategic planning; sales operations; production and publishing; printing; and directory distribution.
Before his operations position Gatto served as president for the northeastern United States for Idearc and for Verizon Information Services (VIS). Before that he was VIS senior vice president for operations support. Previously he was vice president - finance and chief financial officer for the Puerto Rico Telephone Company where he had served from September 1999 to September 2001. Gatto began his company career in 1978 and advanced through several positions including assistant vice president - investment and strategic planning for GTE Service Corp. vice president - finance and planning for GTE Airfone and director - budgets and plans for GTE Wireless.
Gatto earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Villanova University and a master's of business administration degree in finance from Boston College. |
