Frank G. Zarb is a member of the Kraft Foods Board of Directors and Managing Director of the private equity firm Hellman & Friedman LLC, where his primary area of focus is the financial services industry.
He joined Hellman & Friedman in 2002, and previously he was Chairman and CEO of NASD, Inc. and The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. Prior to that, he had been Chairman, CEO and President of insurance brokerage firm Alexander & Alexander Services, Inc.; Group Chairman of The Travelers Companies, Inc.; and Chairman and CEO of Smith Barney. He was also Senior Partner at Lazard Frères & Co. and General Partner at Goodbody and Co.
Mr. Zarb has served in various capacities in the Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Bush and Clinton administrations.
He is a director of American International Group, Inc. (AIG) and Non-Executive Chairman of the Promontory Financial Group.
Mr. Zarb graduated from Hofstra University where he also received his Master of Business Administration and an honorary Doctor of Law degree. |
