Dr. Shellock is Adjunct Clinical Professor of Radiology and Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine University of Southern California and the Founder of the Institute for Magnetic Resonance Safety Education and Research (www.IMRSER.org). He is Director of MRI Studies of Biomimetic MicroElectronic Systems (BMES) Implants National Science Foundation BMES Engineering Research Center. Dr. Shellock is a world-renowned expert on MRI safety. He created the internationally popular web site www.MRIsafety.com. Dr. Shellock has authored six medical textbooks over 60 book chapters and more than 200 peer-reviewed articles. In 2004 the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine recognized the significant contributions Dr. Shellock has made to the scientific and educational mission of the ISMRM by designating him a Fellow of the Society.
