President & CEO: Francois Zayek The founder of Astrophysics Inc., Francois has over 24 years of experience in instrumentation with 8 of those in Physical Optics and 16 in X-Ray Imaging for medical and security applications. He is well recognized by civil aviation administrations around the globe. His key contributions include the design and development of a new instrument based on x-ray backscatter for underground mine detection.
Prior to founding Astrophysics Inc., he also founded Xaytek and was the VP of Research and Development and VP of Engineering for PerkinElmer - also known as EG&G Astrophysics (1995-2000). In this capacity, he was the principal investigator for several projects including one for the development of a new CTl project that was funded by the FAA.
From 1987 to 1995, he was the Director of Research and Development at Bio-Imaging Research. He also worked as a Consultant for Toshiba Medical where he designed and developed Multi-Slice CT equipment for medical applications. |
