Dr. François Martin joined the Company in 1997 and currently serves as senior advisor, scientific affairs. While working at Axcan, he has continued his role as Honorary Professor of Medicine at the University of Montreal, and he practices gastroenterology one day per week at the Downtown Gastroenterology Clinic, also in Montreal.
Prior to his work at Axcan, Dr. Martin held a full professorship in medicine at the University of Montreal, and he has practiced gastroenterology at Montreal’s St-Luc Hospital since 1970. In addition to publishing more than 50 research articles, he is a 1995 recipient of the Academic and Scientific Excellence Award from the Québec Association of Gastroenterologists.
Dr. Martin belongs to the Royal College of Physicians of Canada Fellowship and holds a Gastroenterology Specialist Certificate (1968) and Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in medicine from the University of Montreal (1964). |
