Francois Barrault was appointed to the Board and became Chief Executive of BT Global Services on 24 April 2007. He joined BT in April 2004 as President, BT International, Global Services and was formerly corporate officer and group president of Lucent Technologies Inc. He joined Lucent in 1999 where he held a number of significant posts including president mobility as well as president and CEO EMEA. Prior to Lucent, Francois worked for Ascend Communications where he held the position of senior vice president, International. He has also held executive positions with IBM, Computervision/Prime and Stratus. He is a non-executive director of eServiceGlobal (an Australian corporation). A French national, he is aged 46. |
