Born in 1948 in Cañavate, Cuenca (Spain).
Graduate in Economics and Business Studies.
He was appointed for the first time a Director of the Bank on 22 March 1997. He was re-elected by the General Meetings of shareholders of 1999, 2001 and of 19 June 2004.
Other relevant posts: Former Chairman of Argentaria and a Director of BBV. At present, he is also a non-executive Director of Industria de Diseño Textil (Inditex), Global Vice Chairman of Universia and Chairman of the Social Council of the University of Castilla- La Mancha. |
