Fordam joined Lindquist & Vennum in February 2008, after gaining several years’ experience at a Minneapolis law firm specializing in product liability litigation. At our firm, he focuses his practice on commercial litigation, particularly product liability defense. Clients he has defended include manufacturers of motor vehicles, industrial equipment, food products, and construction materials.Fordam has performed work in all phases of litigation, including taking and defending depositions and arguing motions, in disputes involving warranties, commercial leases, and asbestos exposure. He has concluded nearly two dozen disputes through summary judgment and alternative dispute-resolution methods. His background also includes international work. He served as a law clerk at a firm in Nairobi, Kenya, and coordinated a human-rights project in Kenya as a participant in the University of Minnesota’s Upper Midwest International Human Rights Fellowship program.Fordam has taught seminars on legal research, drafting, and citation to law clerks and paralegals, and has coached a Hamline University Law School team in the Frederick Douglas Moot Court Competition. He began his career as a judicial intern for the Hon. Susan Richard Nelson, U.S. District Court Magistrate Judge for the District of Minnesota, and for a judge in Minnesota district court in Hennepin County. |
