Born in Brescia, Italy, on 27 July 1960. Married with two children.
He graduated from the Politecnico di Milano in 1984 (laurea in ingegneria) and received a Master in Business Administration at the Universitą Bocconi in 1989.
Since 22 January 2007 he is the Head of Strategy, Telecom Italia Group.
He began his career in 1985 at Hoffmann la Roche. Over the following six years he held various positions in R&D and Marketing; in 1989 he was appointed Marketing Director of the Italian subsidiary.
From 1991 to 1993 he worked at Amplifon Group, as Marketing and Sales Manager.
From 1994 to 2000 he managed different companies focused on the biomedical and biotechnological sector with a strong commitment in R&D and innovation, among which the san Raffaele Biomedical Science Park and Molmed, a molecular medicine research company.
From 2001 to 2002 he was the General Manager of the Pirelli Labs, Pirelli Group R&D company focused on optical and material innovation.
In 2002 he joined Telecom Italia as Director of Operations of the Telecom Italia lab, the group company focused on R&D and venture capital activities.
From 2004 to 2006 he was the Executive Assistant to the Chairman of Telecom Italia. |
