Banco Itaú Holding Financeira S.A.: Effective Member of the Fiscal Council since April 2005; Lecturer at the Fundação Dom Cabral, since March 2003. Sits on the Board of Directors of ALCOA. Advisor to the World Business Council and CEO of the Brazilian Business Council. He was Director/President of the State of Rio de Janeiro Environmental Engineering Foundation and Environmental Coordinator for Rio de Janeiro mayor’s office. Author of the books: The Good Business of Sustainability and Environment and the 21st Century, as well as articles in the newspapers, O Estado de S. Paulo, Gazeta Mercantil, Valor Econômico and Jornal do Commercio and participated various seminars on the Brazilian Corporate Law, Business Strategy, Tax Management, Corporate Governance and Environmental Management.
Academic Background: Graduated in Sanitation Engineering from the Universidade Estadual do Rio de Janeiro. He has a Master’s Degree in Engineering and in Environmental Engineering from Manhattan College and a Postgraduate Degree in Environmental Management and Development from the Centro Internacional de Informação.
