Felda Hardymon joined Bessemer Venture Partners in 1981 as a General Partner. After over 20 years with the firm, he became a Venture Partner to enable him to teach and do research at Harvard Business School. During his career, Hardymon has invested in young companies in the software, communications and retail sectors, including AmericanSuperconductor, Cascade Communications (acquired by Ascend), Celcore (acquired by DSC),Celtel (acquired by MTC), Parametric Technology, the Sports Authority, Staples and VideoServer. Previously Hardymon worked at BDSI, the original venture subsidiary of General Electric Corporation, where he was an investor in Ungermann-Bass, Stratus Computer and Western Digital. Prior to that, he taught mathematics and served as Director of Systems and Research at Duke University.
